Sri Lanka Covid Travel Restrictions & Guidelines
Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), Ministry of Health and industry professionals have compiled a comprehensive set oftravel restrictions & guidelines covering each little detail to make sure a safe and secure tourism operation safeguarding the tourists as well as the local community. Just after the lift of travel ban Sri Lanka has been recognized as a "Safe Travel" destination by the World Travel & Tourism Council, reflecting the implementation of sound protocols by Sri Lanka Tourism.

According to the latest version of Sri Lanka tourism operational guidelines with health protocols following are the key points to focus by the International Travelers.
With the recent development of the covid vaccination all over the
world. SLTDA have revised the travel guidelines to ensure the ease
of travel for vaccinated tourists.
Below are the main key points and the high level guideline if you
are planning to spend your holiday in Sri Lanka.
- No minimum number of days required for a stay.
- No restrictive quarantine required.

Tourist must stay at a certified “Safe & Secure” Level 1 Hotel

Vaccinated travelers
- Until the on arrival PCR test is performed - Approximately 24 to 48 hours.

Non Vaccinated travelers
- Stay 14 days only in “Safe & Secure” Level 1 around the island.

Vaccinated travelers
- All the facilities of the hotels (including level 1 Hotels) are made available to the guests.
- Non Vaccinated travelers can visit approved tourist sites and destinations in a bio bubble.
- Travelers need to pay 40USD for a PCR test.
- When applying visa online 12USD charged for insurance that will cover one month upto 50,000 USD
